October 27th 2022, 11am – 3pm

In Cannes, the rock stars of the advertising industry meet and are celebrated for their meaningful campaigns. Campaigns that shake us up, make us laugh, make us cry, make us happy or sometimes sad. And best case scenario: they make our world a little better.

We can learn from these campaigns and people who created them. That’s why we developed the IT MATTERS conference. It’s a platform for the Cannes Lions winners, their work and their trend topics. Expect a wide variety of talks on topics such as metaverse, diversity, sustainability, but above all: creativity.

At the IT MATTERS conference you will discover the full Cannes experience: live panels, an exhibition of the works of the German Cannes winners, a screening of the Cannes reel and master classes. And you are welcome to attend the conference!

Fancy it? Of course you do, who doesn’t? We happily invite you to join us at the CURIO HAUS Dammtor in Hamburg.

In the course of the next few weeks you will find more speakers and the according timetable here. So stay tuned!

  • Diether KernerChief Creative OfficerFischerAppelt GruppeDiether Kerner was a founding member and most recently creative managing director at Philipp und Keuntje and has been Chief Creative Officer of the FischerAppelt Group since 2021.
He has worked for Audi, Sennheiser. Lamborghini and Rimowa, has been a Cannes Lions jury member and won hundreds of national and international creative awards.
  • Diana SukoppChief Creative OfficerDDB Group GermanyMeet Diana: Award-winning Chief Creative (CCO, yay!) of the DDB Group
Germany, and as such responsible for the creative product and shaping the
    future of DDB.

At DDB she combines her international expertise from her time at the
networks in NYC, London and Frankfurt with her experience in working for
top creative independent agencies managing a prestigious client portfolio.
Through the years, Diana has picked up awards all around the world and her
work has been recognised at the Cannes Lions, EUROBEST, D&AD, NYF, LIA,
One Show, Clios, Epica and the Art Directors Club Germany and she has
been repeatedly selected as a member of international juries (more yays!!).

Diana additionally worked as a concept artist in feature film animation and
still fuels her creativity through this passion. Or with coffee. A looooooot of
coffee. She is also an author and published her first book ‘Buchkommadas’
    in 2014.

But let's be honest: is that really the most interesting thing about her? Sadly,
yes. All the above and her unshakeable belief in amazing humans. And that
agencies are simply buildings full of them.
  • Toan MaiCo-FounderLoveTheWorkMoreToan is nobody. Well, that's what he prefers to be called after hacking Cannes Lions with his partner-in-crime, Quynh Tran. Having a job title is cool. But being a nobody is definitely cooler as it gives him nothing to lose to make the stuff happen.
  • Franziska KnoefelHost & Director Product DevelopmentWEISCHERFranziska Knoefel is Director Product Development at WEISCHER, responsible for product development and digital trends. Her area of responsibility includes making the "cinema of today" ready for the "cinema of tomorrow". In order to know what tomorrow's cinema-goers want, her second mainstay at Weischer helps her: She blogs about events and conferences and regularly appears there as a speaker.
Since 2016, Franziska Knoefel has been on the road for WEISCHER at the International Festival of Creativity in Cannes, researching the latest industry trends and summarising them in highlight presentations.
